Thanks Jim

Hey Jim,
Thanks again for your help with the casting lesson the other night it all worked out this weekend. I went to the 18 mile at the forks and walked upstream a bit. I was only out a couple of hours but I did manage to catch one, a small one but it was a steelhead at least.
Again, thanks for the help.
Barry

Quality Time

My wife and I went out to fish a small Erie trib, we got a late start but the fish are in and the water was gin clear. The fish were very spooky, but we did manage to hook a couple and land one fish on a size 14 pheasant tail on 4x tippet. It’s great to have a wife that enjoys the outdoors as much as I do and to spend quality time together.

Fishing Report 10/20/08

The catt has visibility around 12-15" today, and it still off color, but fishable. The fishing will get better and better as long as we get no more rain. The smaller creeks are gin clear, but have plenty of fish in them and the crowds.

Fishing Report 10/16/08

The catt is unfishable, but falling. It will be out for a few days. This should draw in alot of fish with this amount of water. The smaller/medium creeks are also on the rise and will come down faster making them fishable in a day or two.

Fishing Report 10/15/08

The catt is flowing at 211 cfs, and is very clear. Light rain showers today along the catt, but it didnt affect the flow. Fish are all the way up past Gowanda, though the largest concentrations of them are on the Rez. Fish were responding well to swung flies again today, with olive being a good color. The smaller tribs are all low and clear, but do have steelhead in their lower reaches.

Fishing Report 10/4/08

Phil and I hit the Erie trib’s today in search of fishable water after we got hit with lots of rain. After driving around for a while we stopped to see how the water looked and said what the hell lets wet a line. The fishing was poor at best with only two or three fish spotted and one landed, but the scenery was spectacular and the company first rate as always.

Fishing Report 10/2/08

The smaller trib’s are blown out for a day or two, so stay home and fill the boxes for the upcoming carnage. The Catt is at 800 cfs and falling so it’s out for awhile as long as we get no more rain this week, I’ll be poking around this weekend to see what is fishable and what’s not and keep you posted.
