WNY Fly Fishing - Women On Target Event 9/25/10

This past weekend was the first Women On Target Event sponsored by the Women of the NRA. Brian and myself had the pleasure of teaching fly fishing in the first annual event, This is why i love teaching fly fishing so much, the women were very eager to learn and truly enjoyed to class, the look on their faces when they threw out a perfect cast was priceless and commenting after words on how much fun it was. They all thought it was going to be hard, but after Brian and i took the time to explain on how easy it was with some practise and patience, I can now see more fly fisherman in the works, so what out boys here comes the Women of the NRA.

WNY Fly Fishing Report 09/19/10

I went to my cabin to do something small fixes and to go fishing. The Genny was low, but cold and the fish were taking a variety of flies including caddis, blue wing olives, white mayflies and midges. I did catch a few before i had to get back to work, and the weather was perfect.
