The streams are still high and dirty, but the smaller ones should be ready by the weekend. I'll have a better idea of what they look like Friday afternoon.

All of the streams today were high/dirty and free from ice flows, the weather coming in the next couple of days will help get rid of much of the ice and we should be game on for the weekend.

Well I don't have to tell you anything you don't already know FROZEN WATER EVERYWHERE, winter is here and looks likely to stay awhile. I suggest stay in and tie up flies for spring and summer.

 Jeff and I went south yesterday in search of steelhead and we found a lot of fish and even more fishermen in every run and pool. The fish were caught on peach sucker spawn and Hairballs. We also saw something that neither of us have seen before, some of the fish were facing down stream at the end of the pools.

The erie tribs are in fine shape right now, but are starting to get skinny fast. The fishing today was very good with lots of browns caught and one little jack all on Hairballs.

I went over most of the streams today and was pleased to find most of the ready to fish, with the exception of the catt and 18 mile which should be ready in a day or two.

Most of the creeks I went over today were open and very fishable. The catt from aldridge st and above looked very good, the smaller ones had some shelf ice and slush in the morning, but none in the afternoon.

I drove over most of the erie tribs today and have some good news, the med sized ones for the most part are ice free, the bigger ones are also, but the smallest ones forget about it. A reminder the catt and clear creek are closed to fishing for the next couple of months.
