WNY Fly Fishing Stream Report 9/28/2013

The Catt this morning was perfect!!!!!! nice flow, color and temp. The fishing was slow at first then heated up for a little while, all of my fish were taken on egg flies and nothing on the swing. The big hen jumped out of the water four times and smoked line off my Ross F1 trying to go back to the lake, god I love the fall fish.

WNY Fly Fishing Stream Report 9/27/2013

The Catt has some fish in it now with the colder nights bringing them in more and more each day now. The most action should be on streamers (white lighting, mirrored minnows, olive buggers) swung and stripped in, also try nymph's (stones, PT's)

WNY Fly Fishing Stream Report 9/10/2013

I drive the Rez everyday for work, it looks like the are taking gravel out of sulpher springs road area, as the big trucks are making roads to the back forty, also with the construction on route 5 and the bridge being redone, I don't think you will be able to park by the bridge and walk down to the water.

WNY Fly Fishing Stream Report 9/2/2013

Jeff, Paul and I went out for what could be one of the last inland sessions for the year, the Trico's were in full swing and the trout rising everywhere. We did manage to fool a few and hook some real monsters, but lost of the them (damn little hooks) during the fight. Go out and get in on the action before it goes away.
