WNY Fly Fishing Stream Report 3/29/2015

Jeff, Paul and I went out down south to find some water that we can fish, we found some water ready while others were not, slush and ice boogers all morning. The afternoon brought warmer temps and a couple of fish came to play on pink sucker spawn.

WNY Fly Fishing Stream Report 3/21/2015

Jeff, Paul and myself went out today to sneak in a little fishing before the weather got to bad, the creeks ranged from clear to all out mud. The bigger ones were brown to almost ready while the smaller ones were just right, that is until the rain came and blew them out as well. The fishing wasn't bad we did manage to get two steelhead on egg patterns, not bad for only two hours of fishing.

WNY Fly Fishing Stream Report 3/12/2015

We finally have some warm weather and the sun is shining, OK the creeks I went over today had little to no visible water showing and the ones that did had some color to all out coffee with 3 cream. we need a long slow melt so we can get some fishing in before it's too late.

WNY Fly Fishing - New Ideas

A good buddy of mine has been euro nymphing flies using Umpqua's 403BL jig hook, so I went out and got 124th oz jigs and tied up these on them.
