WNY Fly Fishing Stream Report 5/28/2018

I met Tom down on the catt today to watch him catch some fish and take pics. The weather was perfect and the fishing not so, the fish seemed off and proved very selective, but he did manage a few on nymphs, sorry no pics

WNY Fly Fishing Stream Report 5/25/2018

Jeff and I went to my place to get away and for him to do some much needed fishing, the river was high and just a little off colored. The bugs were coming off and most of the fish he got were on buggers and pink san juan worms and march brown dries. He had a great time while once again I sat in the parking lot and took pics, this is getting old. Now to the real problem here and everywhere, the kayaks are out of control!!!! at one point he had over ten come by him, stop just above where he was fishing and started to get out all the while they had the radio at full volume. We heard them way before we could see them and of course once they come by the fish are put down and the spot is done for some time

WNY Fly Fishing Stream Report 5/20/2018

The rains have come and screwed the fishing for the weekend for most of our area, a few streams were fishable and the fishing was good to very good from what I have heard. The trout are looking up and receptive to them and the dry fishing is only goin go get better and better. The flies coming off now are caddis, stones, march browns, bwo. Jeff and I went to my place and he had a ball catching fish on just about everything, he also got a 24-26" rainbow on a PT to end the day

The Oatka and Wiscoy have been fishing very well as of late with good hatches from the reports I have been getting from the guys. The smallies are in big time and the guys are having a blast with them so this is an option to change things up if you like

WNY Fly Fishing Stream Report 5/2/2018

Paul met me down at my place and he had a day of days fishing, me on the bank taking pics is getting old, but at least I get to see the fish and my buddies getting some very nice ones. The water was up a little and the clarity was just about perfect. The hatches were good with stones, BWO's and henny's coming off, we saw some rises late in the day, but all of Paul's fish were caught on nymph's and buggers.
