WNY Fly Fishing Stream Report 9/30/2018

With the colder weather rolling in the steelhead will be coming into the creeks now, the cat will get the lions share as of now because of the water volume now. I had had reports of a few fish in the lower sections, so get out and throw streamers

WNY Fly Fishing Guide - Jessie Hollenbeck

Jessie works and lives in Pittsford New York with his wife Stacy and their daughter Emma. After graduating from SUNY Brockport he moved from Northern NY and has called Western NY home for the past 10 years. Professionally he works as a Recreation Director for a community recreation department in his hometown. It was a dream of Jessie's to guide the waters of Western NY, and share it's amazing fishery! Many of his early years fly fishing were spent on Oatka Creek and Spring Brook. Later -- continuing his trout bum ways during the spring and summer -- he focused his fishing during the fall and spring months on lake runs of steelhead and brown trout.

WNY Fy Fishing Stream Report 9/02/2018

Jeff came out for a couple of days at my place and did some fishing, the fish were caught on brown buggers with yellow rabbit strip tail, and soft hackle caddis, and the same in BWO's. The caddis hatch coming off was crazy for this tim eof the year. The water was up and cold, as a matter of fact the farther south you went the colder the water was.
