I went out this week end to open up my cabin and to do a little fishing if time permitted. The first order of business was to fix the broken water pipes in the house and clean up the mess, after several hours of swearing, yelling out numbers and sweating my butt off we finished, then retired to a chair and cooler of beer (no fishing this day). The weather was great for April let just hope it’s not like last year with the oppressive heat and no water. The day started off slow and stayed that way all day with a hard earned fish every once in a while, which was frustrating with the amount of caddis, Hendrickson’s and olives but we held our course and continued to work and I was rewarded with a very big brown on the spring creek special dead drifted on my new Sage Z Axis 10' 4wt. . I took this picture of the deer just as I left my cabin at 630am she was just curious enough to let me snap a quick picture.
