Wny Fly Fishing Report 6/28/09

I went to my cabin to do some much need repairs and to do a little fishing on the side. The weather didn't help with 1.5" of rain falling in about one hour, talk about a drenching. Flash floods and washed out ditches with overflowing culverts was the norm for most of the weekend, but i did mange to catch a few trout on some smaller streams nearby. A few critters and some nice scenery made an lousy day seem a little better.

  1. I was thinking of making the trip to wellsville thursday to do some fly fishing. Is it fishable or should I stay home. Also, what flies should I concentrate on this time of year for the genny? I notice they have some rain forcasted.

  4. CubbyProctor you are always welcome to ask any questions. The area in question, i have fished for over 25 years, it has alot of different water to fish from deep pools to long slow stretches and classic dry fly sections.
