The fishing this weekend was outstanding!!!! the cooler temps and great water flows made for one of the best days I can remember. It just goes to show you how important water levels and cooler temps are to our fishery. The action started early and stayed very good until dark when it got even better. We got fish swinging wets and on top, the key with swinging the wet fly was to twitch the fly very little while the swing was in progress. The bugs coming off were Drakes, March Browns, BWO, Stones and Sulpher's, so matching the hatch was tough, but changing alot he did manage to land around four dozen trout of all sizes. We did have some strange things happen from after lunch to dark. A baby fawn came out of the woods and trotted towards us and came within ten feet of us then just walked away, later a bear walked up on me and got to twenty five to thirty feet from me then took off, so I we down stream to give him some room to walk off, instead he laid down and stayed in the grassy bank. We gave him about an hour, then started to walk out and he came back out to see we were doing, he woofed and growled at us then took off, that got the blood pumping.
