WNY Fly Fishing Stream Report 10/30/2013

I went over almost all of the Erie tribs today, The smaller ones were low and clear, med sized ones are clear and the Catt might be ready by the weekend if we get no more rain. I'll get info on the L.O. tribs when I can.

The high winds and rain have put a damper on the fishing for most of the Erie tribs today, try the smaller ones in the afternoon.

WNY Fly Fishing Stream Report 10/21/2013

We went to the smaller Erie tribs today and found the water to be stained and full of leaves. The fishing was very good and the crowds had all but disappeared by 11 o'clock. We caught a mixed bag with browns and fresh steelhead, all of the fish were taken on egg patterns. The creek cleared up as the day worn on and the fishing got better.

WNY Fly Fishing Stream Report 10/24/2013

I went over most of the Erie tribs today, the good news is that a lot of them are ready or just about ready and the kitty is shot for awhile. It snowed pretty hard down south so watch the weather for the weekend before making plans.

WNY Fly Fishing Stream Report 10/20/2013

All Erie tribs are shot, but the smaller ones will drop very fast and should be ready in a day or two. I have no word on the Ontario tribs.

WNY Fly Fishing Stream Report 10/12/2013

We went to the Catt and fished mid way with little success, I only saw two fish caught and they were caught on egg patterns. It was strangely slow for what I thought was going to be very good day of fishing.

WNY Fly fishing Stream Report 10/9/2013

I went north today to scout out some water, the streams were a little stained and running at a good flow. The zombie's were in full force with no trout spotted, I caught them on olive buggers and sucker spawn.
