I went out for the last time for inland trout, going to my fav river in the world the Genny. The fishing was nothing short of fantastic!!!!!! Big Bows and Browns taking BWO's, caddis, and paraleps and of course the spring creek special. The weather was not an issue as cooler temps and drizzle kept everything coming up all day.

did you fish the C and R section? Im thinking of just hitting the ballpark and Kmart if the wind allows it! will 6x tippet work enough or should I go smaller to a 7x? Are they still rising pretty hard or have they slowed a bit? Sorry for all the questions. Just want to be prepared. its an 80 mile drive and want to have as much knowledge as possible!
ReplyDeletei fished from shongo to jack bridge and every nook and cranny between. 6x should be fine unless you go to really small dries or nymph's, and go with 4x if you are throwing streamers, the hatches in the morning have been fantastic and are over in the evening pretty quick.
