Still no real reports for the Eire tribs other than the water is so low its a pond and the weather next week is not going to help out at all with most of the week in the high 70's to 80's and no rain which we need badly

WNY Fly Fishing - Fall Start Up
Its time to start thinking for the fall run here in WNY, time to start tying up streamers, eggs, nymphs for the big push. Also remember that the crowds will be crazy on all the streams so get out early to find some water.

WNY Fly Fishing - Words to the Wise
OK its been awhile for anything from me so here we go, if you plan on buying anything and its a big ticket item i would order it now because it took months for me to get my rods and reels. The supply chain and shortages of materials have made last year and the start of this year a nightmare, so please order early and be prepared to wait a long time for some things, our friends in the industry are working very hard to get us the equipment we need and want to pursue our passions.

WNY Fly Fishing Stream Report 5/16/2021
Dave and his son went out for some fly action and here is the report, the water was very cold and the fish were a little sluggish but eager to take flies. The fish took hares ears, P.T.'s, very small buggers to very large buggers it all was a crap shoot on what to use. Wes got his first trout of the fly rod and at the end of the day i had him casting with both hands and understanding what he was doing wrong.

WNY Fly Fishing Stream Report 5/8/2021
The rains and colder temps have put a stop on most of the streams for this weekend, but there is still water that can be fished. What i have seen this year with the stocking has got me scratching my head the genny in the wellsville section has got 3969 fish put in it from the pa border to wellsville and the belmont section is getting insane amounts of fish put in it, they have received this year from march to may 22052 fish in that section from scio to belmont. If they are doing this to make the upper sections more of a sustainable fishery then i am all for it, because they lower section are marginal waters for this and extending the no kill section will help this out but more needs to be done about the raping of the stream in these sections

Dave and his buddy went out for inland and here is the report, the water was low and clear and cold. the fishing didn't pick up until later in the day and he said that stones and caddis were coming off but the fish weren't taking them off the top instead they were hitting the emergers, so he switched over to nymphs and clobbered them
