We provide lunch, guides, flies/leaders/tippet, rods and reels if needed, you must bring waders and wading boots, sunglasses. WNY Fly Fishing Stream Report 6/6/2025

The fishing continues to be outstanding with lots of water and bugs to keep the fish very happy as well as the fishermen. I had a very good friend come up from PA to fish with me and we had a ball until the rains washed us out but still lots of fish caught and a lot of laughs, we got them on just about everything the usual suspects buggers, nymphs swung and stripped

WNY Fly Fishing Stream Report 11/28/2022

The flooding has really kicked in now and all of the erie tribs are shot for awhile, the LO tribs did not get the snow pack so they should be fine if you want to go up there

WNY Fly Fishing Stream Report 11/29/2021

The colder weather has finally caught up with us and slowed the fishing down, the Erie tribs are low, slow and clear and very tough. The LO tribs have fish in them, but ten thousand guys at every turn so the fish are very pressured to say the least and please remember deer season is still open until Jan now so be careful

WNY Fly Fishing Smith Optics Review - Guides Choice 7/26/2021

Smith Guide's Choice Bifocal Polarized Sunglasses

Love the way these glasses cut through the water, and the bifocals a total game changer with tying on small flies with super small hook eyes. I did not experience any weirdness with trying to adjust to the bifocal aspect of the glasses, premium Italian spring hinges, megol nose and temple pads, a detachable sunglass leash, and premium 8-base Carbonic lenses: the Guide's Choice is engineered for those that truly believe in the life on the water. I have been using Smith optics now for over twenty years and can tell you they are the finest glasses you can buy, so pick up a pair and see what you have been missing under the surface

WNY Fly Fishing Stream Report 5/8/2021

The rains and colder temps have put a stop on most of the streams for this weekend, but there is still water that can be fished. What i have seen this year with the stocking has got me scratching my head the genny in the wellsville section has got 3969 fish put in it from the pa border to wellsville and the belmont section is getting insane amounts of fish put in it, they have received this year from march to may 22052 fish in that section from scio to belmont. If they are doing this to make the upper sections more of a sustainable fishery then i am all for it, because they lower section are marginal waters for this and extending the no kill section will help this out but more needs to be done about the raping of the stream in these sections

WNY Fly Fishing Stream Report 3/14/2021

Some of the LO tribs are fishing well with a mixed bag of browns and steelhead, egg patterns and streamers fished slowly have been the ticket. The smaller to med erie tribs are fishable and the catt is out of the question with 1000+ cfs at this moment

WNY Fly Fishing Stream Report 10/28/2020

the rains have come and the creeks are filling up with cooler temps, all the erie tribs have fish in them and the bigger ones have been doing better and better, the LO tribs are the same no real changes but the mud sharks are going away and the browns are moving in

WNY Fly Fishing - Stream Advisory

The water temps have reached critical for most of the trout streams here in WNY, so with that in mind give our cold water buddies a much needed break after this year of total raping on all streams. I have never the amounts of fishermen on the water taking so many fish in my life, the reports I have been getting from the guys who fish all over have said the same thing

WNY Fly Fishing Stream Report 6/13/2020

Paul and Jeff went out for inland and here is the report they gave me, the water was very cool in the am but as the day got warmer so did the water 67 was the reading they got, anyways the fishing was very good both underneath and on top. Mini buggers, nymphs and cahills seemed to be the best for the conditions.  Butter fingers Paul trying to get a pic of the fish and then he is marking this spot on GPS I guess for later fishing

WNY Fly Fishing Stream Report 6/8/2020

Well the weather gods are smiling down on us now and except for a small hiccup mid week of crazy heat. The fishing has been very good as of late, cahills, drakes, olives and of course caddis have been coming off daily. The bugs have been starting at around 630 and picking up as the night comes
