WNY Fly Fishing Stream Report 3/16/2013
Jeff and I went to the L.O. tribs today, in spite of the cold temps. The water was is great shape, up and stained to a perfect shade of green. The fishing started out with a bang with a steelhead and a brown, then quickly turned into a sucker fest with a occasional brown thrown into the mix. We caught fish on cheese and pale orange sucker spawn/hairballs, and I even got a sucker on White Lighting go figure. All of the other fisherman we ran into didn't have any luck at all, I think the colder water temps have put them down for now.

WNY Fly Fishing Stream Report 12/23/2012
I headed south with Brian and his son Adam to do some steelhead fishing, the weather was cold and the water perfect!!!! The fishing was off the charts for this time of the year with over a dozen steelhead hooked between us. The fly of the day for me was a cheese colored Hairball, the fish fought very hard despite the cold water temps.

I met up with Guide Jesse Hollenback to do so tribbing L.O.
style, the creeks were off colored but very fishable. The zombies are almost
gone and the browns and steelhead have moved in to feast on our offerings. The
hot ticket for today was a very bright orange single egg or hairball, the
steelhead were on the smaller size, but the browns large and in charge.

WNY Fly Fishing Stream Report 2/11/2012
The word for today is COLD!!!!! but productive. I got to sneak out and to shoot some video with Luke, Adam and Matt. I fooled a few steelhead today with the last one the biggest and one of the cleanest fish I have seen in this creek in a long while.

The weather couldn't have been nicer to go out and fish, today Brian Slavinski joined Luke, Adam and myself for a little fun. The water was just about perfect and the fish were eager to play today, I caught fish on White lighting, Hairballs and sucker spawn, Brian used a small white bunny streamer, while Luke used light pink sucker spawn.

WNY Fly Fishing Stream Report 11/6/2011
Went tribbing today with Luke and Adam, the day started off very early in the am, when we got out to the spot we wanted to fish somebody beat us to the water. The morning started off with a brown trout or two with some zombie fish thrown in, as the day got warmer so did the fishing. I caught fish on Hairballs, Crystal Meth and stone flies.

WNY Fly Fishing Report 11/12/10
I fished the L.O. tribs today with Lucas Carroll and Brian, the fishing started out cold like the air temps and got better as the day went on. We caught a mixed bag of steelhead and Big browns, most of the fish were taken on Hairballs, sucker spawn as well as big buggers. A great day to be out with good friends and catch big fish, Lucas broke in his new Beulah Switch Rod in great fashion.

WNY Fly Fishing Report 11/07/10
Most of the Erie tribs are now at fishable levels and have cleared up a bit. The colder temps will slow the fishing down allot this weekend, but the warmer weather they are calling for this week should put everything back to normal. The flies of choice are as follows: Hairballs, sucker spawn, buggers and Mirrored minnows

Wny Fly Fishing Report 10/18/09
All the creeks have fish in them and are colored, the catt has dirtied up again. Trying to find some good water will take some driving, but you will have fish in the creek. The flies of choice are as follows: Hairballs in peach, egg, golden, Sucker spawn in same colors (try putting diamond braid under the yarn) ESL black or purple with red or orange heads, Rainbow Runners and Mirrored Minnows round it out.
