Tom, Jeff and I went inland for dry fly action, the water was up a little and stained, but very fishable. The water temps are starting to reach critical, so be mindful about how long you fight your fish and release them after are fully recovered. We caught fish on caddis, Isonychia, caddis pupas, and the spring creek special. The majority of the fish today were rainbow trout with a few brown trout mixed in to keep it interesting.

It was a cold one this morning on the stream reminding me of what is coming in a few short weeks. The fishing was slow, but we managed a few Brown trout and one Steelhead, I caught fish on White Lighting and Mirrored Minnows, while Luke and Adam got fish on egg patterns.

WNY Fly Fishing Stream Report 11/6/2011
Went tribbing today with Luke and Adam, the day started off very early in the am, when we got out to the spot we wanted to fish somebody beat us to the water. The morning started off with a brown trout or two with some zombie fish thrown in, as the day got warmer so did the fishing. I caught fish on Hairballs, Crystal Meth and stone flies.

WNY Fly Fishing Report 06/28/10
I finally got Luke to come down to my favorite part of the world to sample some fishing, and the old girl didn't lets us down. The day started off foggy, but as it warmed up the fishing got better and better, we had small BWO's and black caddis coming off. The brown trout were on the caddis big time!!! we put a dropper behind it and slowly moved upwards as it was emerging and they crushed it.

WNY Fly Fishing Report 05/01/10
I headed out to the upper catt for the afternoon, the weather was perfect overcast and little to no wind. I had fish rising most of the time, but they were difficult to fool. I caught a couple then had to switch as they started to figure it out. The flies i used were a micro peacock caddis (20) and a few midges i have made (22).

Wny Fly Fishing Report 04/17/10
I went out today to the upper catt for some inland action. The creek looked in good shape and the fishing was very good for the weather conditions that we had. I caught several browns and rainbows despite the wind and snow that plagued me all day. The flies of choice were the spring creek special, small stone flies and a biot nymph I have come up with.
