The weather is finally going to break and this is what we needed, a little warmer temps will get the bugs moving and the fish in the mood to feed. Most of the streams have been punished and the meat mongers have taken their toll on the fish, so be patient and walk away from the bridge's andcessy access points.)

WNY Fly Fishing Gear Review - Ross Evolution R Salt 7/8
I just got mine and will give it a test soon, if it performs anywhere the fresh water model does watch out steel head and lake run browns. The first thing I noticed is that how light it feels in hand, the drag on the Ross Evolution is a monster. The R Salt boasts a massive 23+ lbs of max drag, it has a pretty fast retrieval rate, the finish I got was the Platinum and just like the fresh water version i love it!!. Well, I have used it now in all conditions and can tell you that this Reel Rocks!!!!!!!! the drag was so smooth on the steel head runs on the Catt and the bull dogging surges of the big browns I hardly noticed how much line was gone off the reel. The drag knob is big and is very user friendly, i just say enough about this reel go out and get one or two for fresh water or salt.

The rains came and gave the creeks a much needed flushing, most if not all Erie tribs have good numbers of fish in them, the catt is flowing at 661 right now. The cold weather has cleared the creeks so smaller flies should be used.

WNY Fly Fishing Stream Report 10/12/2019
The Catt has nice conditions on it right now with a slight stain as of Friday morning and descent flow, lots of guys are pounding the water with little to no results, a couple of skippers were caught and that's it, also the creek has changed quite a bit on the lower sections so get out and do some scouting to learn the new spots for this year.

WNY Fly Fishing Stream Report 6/15/2019
Jeff and Dale met me at my place for some dry fly action and for me to get some pics, the bugs were coming nicely and Friday night they did very well at a old spot they haven't fished at in years, the next morning to was a spot that hasn't produced very well over the years, but this year it has good numbers of fish, nothing big but fun and a couple of wild browns in the mix. They were fishing caddis and cahills sizes 14 and 16 on 5X. We caught some bait fishermen in the no kill sections using a center pin outfit and you can see one of the hooks that broke off in the rainbows mouth.

The streams up north have fish in them, bur have low and clear water conditions with tons of people, the Erie tribs are dirty to almost ready so choose wisely and be prepared to drive a lot to find fishable water and get ready for the crowds.

The rains have come finally, and the erie tribs needed this very badly. All of them are high right now and dirty, the smaller ones should be ready by monday and the bigger ones coming around by mid to late week as long as we dont get more rain
